1. Acceptance of these terms

By using checkwaldo.com ("CheckWaldo", "the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

2. What CheckWaldo is (and isn't)

CheckWaldo provides verified, structured business profiles designed to be easily read by both people and AI systems. We are not a lead-generation agency, a booking platform, or a party to any contract you enter into with a business you find through CheckWaldo. We connect you; the relationship, work, and any payment happens directly between you and the business.

3. Using CheckWaldo as a visitor

You agree to use CheckWaldo lawfully and not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent enquiries or reviews;
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the platform;
• Impersonate another person or business;
• Use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm any business or individual.

4. Enquiries and reviews

When you send an enquiry to, or leave a review for, Harris Plumbing & Heating, you're entering into a direct interaction with Harris Plumbing & Heating, not with CheckWaldo. We pass your message or review on in good faith, but we don't control, guarantee, or take responsibility for Harris Plumbing & Heating's response time, conduct, pricing, or the quality of any work carried out.

5. Business profiles and claiming a listing

If you claim or manage a business profile on CheckWaldo, you're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (services, pricing, service area, credentials, and contact details) and for keeping it up to date. We may periodically verify listed details and may suspend or remove a profile that we reasonably believe to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in breach of these terms.

6. Free and paid tiers

CheckWaldo offers a free business profile and an optional paid tier with additional tools (such as an AI receptionist and booking features). Paid tier pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policy will be set out separately at the point of purchase.

7. Review guidelines and moderation

Reviews should reflect a genuine experience with the business in question. We reserve the right to verify, edit for formatting, decline to publish, or remove any review that we reasonably believe to be fake, abusive, defamatory, or in breach of these terms — for either businesses or the people leaving reviews.

8. Intellectual property

The CheckWaldo name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Content submitted by businesses (descriptions, photos, pricing) remains owned by the business submitting it, and content submitted by reviewers remains owned by the reviewer; both grant CheckWaldo a licence to display it on the platform and, where relevant, to AI systems and search engines that index it.

9. Limitation of liability

CheckWaldo is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, or from your dealings with any business listed on it.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to CheckWaldo, for any user or business, at our discretion, in cases of misuse, fraud, or breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
